Memorable Quotes

"“It’s supposed to be hard. If it were easy, everyone would do it.”

Jimmy Dugan

"The object of education is to prepare the young to educate themselves throughout their lives.”

Robert Maynard Hutchin

Our Main Goal

The main goal when it comes to Key Stage 3 (KS3) Science lesson with one of our tutors is to create engaging lessons and help promote a better understanding of the topics covered rather than covering fragmented content.

By closely covering every aspect contained within this syllabus, you will begin to understand what your child needs to know in order to improve their skill set and thrive by the time we have covered the whole of Key Stage 3 (KS3). The topics covered in this syllabus includes big ideas and mastery goals to help your child then carry on to further success at GCSE level. It will also provide a good and proven way to follow their progress as their abilities continue to develop during KS3.

Tutoring in the sciences in key stage 4 carries on with the process of building upon their deepening scientific knowledge and understanding they learnt from Key Stage 3 in the subjects of biology, chemistry and physics. For some students, studying the sciences in key stage 4 provides the ideal platform for more advanced studies, giving a solid platform for a wide range of future jobs.

For other students, it will be their last phase of Scientific study of subjects that have given them the foundations for understanding the natural world we live in and can also enhance their lives in a fast-growing technological society.

Revision Sessions

In addition to tutoring we also offer revision sessions and mock exams spread over four consecutive days.

We realise that children after a while can forget some of the topics they have learnt or feel they are a bit rusty. Our sessions help refresh their memories; give them confidence and help prepare them for the exams themselves.

JJs Tuition has one of the best success rates in the area when it comes to getting good grades and good exam results. It is the main reason why we have been in business for nearly 20 years now. Countless parents have left our tutors very positive reviews and given us many referrals over the years. Check our rate and review us page, it is full of thank you messages, emails and cards.

We also tutor Maths and Science. To find out more about our tutors and owners visit “meet our tutors” page. We also have a “free resources” page packed full of help, advice and tips about various topics. We also have some videos of some of those topics along with some fun games and activities you can try with your child.

Science Changes Lives

Science is changing all our lives; our hopes and dream and is vital to the world’s future prosperity. All students should know the important aspects of the knowledge, methods, processes and uses of science.

They should be able to appreciate the outstanding achievements that science has created in showing how complex, diverse and wonderous the natural world can be described in terms of a number of key ideas which are inter-linked= and universal in their appeal.

Just reading about Science for most of us adults can seem absolutely fascinating but at the same time complicated and hard to grasp at the best of times.

That is why we have tutors that are specially trained in helping your child with Science. Not only will we try to help them understand the wide range of topics that the Sciences (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) cover but we aim to do them in a fun and engaging way that captures their imaginations.

We pay particular attention to the areas your child may be struggling with which will come apparent in any assessment we given you with their free trial lesson and anything our tutors notice while teaching them.
